So life is a blast and Im walking on sunshine. I’ve been so spoiled with great weather, awesome snow, fabulous mountains, fantastic people and a body that just complained a little bit as I blew my lungs out trying to catch up with Martin who runs up those hills, that I have sort of gotten used to it. So now I have to wine a bit. Im actually quite good at wining (as many of you know, I generally think that everyone should pity me the most since Im always hurting the most), but this spring I have tried the daring strategy to compensate pain in terms of ignoring it. It has worked fairly well until now. But enough is enough, it is wining time. Its Friday, it is going to snow tonight and we got an offer to go skiing wiht a local 50 year old fantastic ski-person tomorrow, but I can’t go since I have disgusting feet, i.e., conditions are perfect. Note to self 1: Don’t ever, ever, ignore hurting feet until you develop corns the size of Grand Teton, and then think you can just leave large size corn removers on for a couple of days. Note to self 2: If you do, leave the darn dead skin on until you develop new skin underneath for God’s sake! Note to self 3: If you can’t help yourself from peeling that disgusting thing off, do not, I repeat NOT, go climbing for two hours in your climbing shoes that are soked in month-old sweat and all the germs in the universe. Having corns may be painful, but having an infected corn between two toes that have almost become one is more painful, and definetely not something that you want to put in a skiboot. So now I am planning for a working saturday while Martin gets to head up to Cameron pass for a powder hunt. Oh, well, what is a Cinderella ball in a shiny castle?… It may be boring, and awful and… but work is fun, if I hadn’t gotten stuck. Darn. Ok, I guess life can’t be spent on those pink fluffy clouds all the time. Wine, wine, wine, wine, buhuu. Oh poor poor me, I have a toe that hurts, nothing broken, no cancer that I know of, but a toe that hurts. Poor poor me. It will probably take two days until it heels. Ok, Im done. Now I have used my wining space for this year I think. Sorry for the hassle. Hope you all have a great weekend.
