Yesterday, I beat the shit out of a hill that I quite often failed to climb before the accident…
I couldn’t help myself from screaming out loud, both while still climbing and after:
COME ON, YOU CAN DO IT!!!
YESSSSS!!!! WOHOOOOO!!! WOHOOOO!! WOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!
I have legs! All that rehab, finally showing results. I just couldn’t stop laughing. At my accomplishment, and that I had screamed at such a high pitch at myself while doing it. Half the forest must have heard me :).
And that hill was probably the most boring part of yesterday’s ride. I can hardly believe that I am writing this. Roughly a month ago, Dr Doom told me that I shouldn’t expect to walk without crutches until August, and here I am biking my favorite (admittedly gentle and short) home trails before June is even over. Yes, my ankles and butt hurts like hell today, and I know (I know I know I know) that I need to take it easy still, but things are definitely looking good. Weee!!!
Thanks Johanna for sharing the joy!
