So September is officially over, thank God! Don’t get me wrong, September was great. At least in terms of the weather. Beautiful sunny days… that I spent either glued to my computer or running around the University hallways. I think that avalanche hit my head harder than I thought, because I clearly wasn’t sane when I planned the start of the semester. Or maybe I just thought I deserved a bone cracking kick in the butt. Well, my bony ass certainly got kicked last month giving 4×3 hour lectures per week while simultaneously arranging the national conference in economics that took place in Umeå 25-26 Sept (along with the presentation that I had somehow convinced myself it was a good idea to give during that same conference, and of course the mandatory discussion of another paper presented), and finishing off by doing my premier as a grading committee for a PhD thesis on Sept 30. Today, I celebrate that September is officially dead. Hurray! And I can once again do other things than sit on that same sore butt, like take a bike ride during lunch, Hurray!
What a bliss then, that my dear friend Annika, who fractured her wrist in July had done her rehab homework extraordinary well and therefore is back on her bike and eager to take back all the things missed during the last 2 months.
And what a bliss that the cold nights has made the trails in Gammlia super hero fast (to quote Martin) while that October sun lights up the pines, and our hearts.
I know, it was just a lunch ride, but hey, one hour in heaven is better than no hour in heaven, and I’ve had plenty of the latter during the last month, so I’m quite happy with what I got: Happy hour with them girrls in the woods.
