The Pike is on the bike. It took a little bit longer than I had expected. About one month longer. The 2 km to the garage has seemed more like 200 km the past weeks, so I just haven’t got down to business. Plus, in contrast to almost everyone that I know, I always hesitate to use new things that I buy. I can easily let a brand new computer lay idle in its shiny box for two weeks before I dare opening it up. Moment of clarity: I’m conservative by heart – holding on to the old and terrified by the new. Yikes, that’s a scary thought, I always thought that I was progressive.
In any case, today I finally managed to convince myself that it was time to throw out the old and mount the new. And so I did. I even dared using the file on that expensive fork, very rad.
Now, I just have to dare riding the 2.0 version of the Stump.
